Anxiety in Autism; An Evidence Based Approach.

Posted on behalf of Autism and Social Communication Team

This event is to launch our newly published guidance booklet "An Evidence Based Approach to Anxiety and Autism". This booklet pulls together the latest research and effective strategies for improving emotional wellbeing in autistic children. It is intended to help parents and professionals support their child/young person to manage their anxieties and live fulfilling lives.

The guide has been described as “Highly informative with a range of practical suggestions for both home and school. ..." and also like "... reading a book without having so many pages to wade through..."

The event will be hosted by the co writers from City London University and The Autism and Social Communication Team, WSCC.

Dr Sebastian Gaigg will be speaking; outlining the causes of anxiety in Autism and strategies to support the child/young person.

We will hear from Travis Smith (The A Word, a BBC drama) who is a young man with autism who experiences anxiety.

We look forward to welcoming you and providing you with a 'free' copy of this newly published guidance.
